▲ Lancaster-based electric vehicle charge point management platform Fuuse has closed another round of investment funding, securing £8.7m from lead investor YFM Equity Partners alongside existing investors Par Equity and an angel syndicate. The funds will aid scaling of its enterprise product offer for charge point operators, destinations, fleets and workplace charging.
▲ EPIC Global Solutions, an Appley Bridge- based consultancy which specialises in mitigating gambling-related harm, has won a third consecutive Player Protection Service Provider of the Year award at the SBC Awards North America.
▲ International sportswear brand adidas brought stars of music and football to Darwen for a week-long festival to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its SPZL range. The brand is linked with the town through Gary Aspden, who was born there and educated in Blackburn before making his name as a designer, including frequent collaborations with adidas.
▲ Chorley-based Scoff Paper will see its edible greetings cards for dogs stocked in all 35 John Lewis shops, as well as its online shop, following a successful trial. The manufacturer, which has previously secured backing from the Lancashire Innovation Challenge and Dragon’s Den, has agreed deals with high-end gift retailer Daylesford Organic and dog food subscription company Butternut Box.
▲ Euxton-based logistics specialist fulfilmentcrowd increased revenues by 23 per cent last year, up to £17.4m, despite an overall decline in online shopping. Export sales, supported by its hubs in the EU and USA, accounted for more than 20 per cent of group revenue.
▲ Supplement Solutions, which has so far served customers exclusively online, has moved into 10,000 sq ft premises in Great Eccleston which will allow it to expand and open its first shop. The company, which stocks more than 5,000 nutritional supplements for horses, has also launched a new venture, Safety Solutions, to offer the fitting of riding hats and body protectors by staff trained by the British Equestrian Trade Association.
▲ Work has begun on a new manufacturing facility and office complex for GVS Filter Technology in Lancaster, which will house its 200 employees. Cassidy + Ashton and Conlon Construction will work in partnership on the £14m project to transform a 24,000 sqm vacant site into a two-storey, low carbon development.

▲ Three Lancashire businesses have earned the King's Award for Enterprise in recognition of their international success: Burnley-based AMS Neve, which manufactures sound recording equipment for film, music and television; Simonstone-based Fort Vale, a world leading designer and manufacturer of equipment for the safe transport of bulk liquids, powders and gases; and Barnoldswick-based Raptor Titanium, which manufactures titanium footpegs designed for off road motorbikes.

The project is being led by Preston-based architecture, design and masterplanning practice FWP. ▲ Chorley-based investor handl Group has acquired two specialist businesses for its health and wellbeing division. Paediatric Specialist Physiotherapy (PSP) works with children and Osiris Health with adults. Both specialise in spasticity management.
▲ The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, the largest in Wales, has chosen video wall technology supplied by Burnley-based Ultimate Visual Solutions (UVS) for the heart of its new Security and Network Operations Centre.
▲ HBM Learning, a Lytham-based recruitment and training agency specialising in the education and skills sector, has secured a £15,000 loan from Rosebud Finance. The business was launched in 2022 by husband-and-wife Frazer and Deborah McAlisterin who will now begin looking to acquire other businesses.
▲ Construction company Evolution has achieved energy self-sufficiency at its headquarters at Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone. Forty-six solar panels were installed by its own team and will generate enough power for its premises and electric vehicle charging points.
▲ Nelson-based Daisy Corporate Services is set to partner up with Wavenet to become the country’s largest independent IT managed services provider. The new £500m revenue company will employ around 2,000 staff and support more than 22,000 businesses and public sector organisations, delivering cloud, cyber security and connectivity solutions.
