Burnley’s Gawthorpe Textiles Collection is on the move to ensure the legacy left by Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth lives on for future generations. A collection of more than 30,000 textile and craft items that has been housed at Gawthorpe Hall for more than half a century has been carefully relocated to Northlight in Brierfield, offering the space and flexibility to continue to grow the collection, as well as providing fit-for-purpose workshop space to increase public access.

East Lancashire businesses came together to raise £20,000 for Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone at an annual fundraising quiz organised by the Cummins Mellor family of businesses. More than 250 people gathered at Accrington Stanley football club’s Coley’s Bar to attend the quiz night, which is now in its 9th year. Blackburn- based Pierce Business Advisory & Accountancy Group was crowned quiz team of the year, beating off competition from 49 other teams.
