Peter Norris Relationship manager, Allica Bank
About us
Allica is a modern relationship bank, committed to empowering established businesses to succeed.
From our award-winning business reward account which has no monthly fees and pays up to 1.5 per cent cashback on card spend, our instant access savings account which pays 3.65 per cent, and lending products such as commercial mortgages, asset finance.
Each business also gets access to a dedicated relationship manager. Why we love doing business in Lancashire
Lancashire’s established small and medium business community – typically those with around 10 to 250 staff – are the beating heart of our local economy.
These businesses are responsible for around 30 per cent of the region’s employment. However, despite this, many businesses have no direct relationship with their current banks. By combining tailored expertise, local relationships and powerful technology, Allica Bank is built to empower Lancashire’s businesses to succeed.
Why we love living in Lancashire
I am based in Chorley and have worked closely with businesses in Lancashire for over 20 years.
Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife and two children. We enjoy walking, especially around Rivington and the Ribble Valley.
allica.bank About us
We’re a top 10 North West ranked accountancy firm with 18 partners who cover a range of specialist areas, supported by some of the best directors, managers, and support staff working in the industry.
We’re proud of how we help to demistfy accountancy advice and services for businesses, and we’ve been helping clients overcome financial concerns to reach their business goals for over 100 years.
Why we love doing business in Lancashire
Although accountancy isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, I love hearing about the history and mechanics of a business and how the numbers help tell the story.
In turn this lets me cut the jargon, identify and then support their goals. We succeed if our clients succeed.
What’s great about living in Lancashire
I love and share the sense of community in Lancashire and the authenticity of its people which means that the lines between work and play sometimes blur.
I am trustee treasurer for Pendleside Hospice and sit on the board of North West Aerospace Alliance.
I balance all this with a passion for fitness - specifically gym sessions and running through our outstanding countryside, occasionally with a race-number pinned on.

Our national multi-billion pound portfolio exceeds 15m sq ft and we have a further 7m sq ft of development in the pipeline in the next five years.
Why we love doing business in Lancashire
Lancashire has so much to offer and I’ve always admired the attitude and work ethic of the individuals here who work so hard to create a hub of economic activity and innovation.
Our headquarters is based at Botany Bay in Chorley, housing our growing 440-strong team, which is testament to the thriving business landscape in the area.
Why we love living in Lancashire
I’m a born and bred Lancashire lad so the region will always be special to me.
I bought my first business - a fishmongers on Anderton Street - when I was young and I’ve continued to buy and develop property in the area ever since.
Chorley will always be FIREM’s home and we’ll continue to invest in the region; the redevelopment of Botany Bay is set to generate a combined economic value of £14.3m in permanent jobs every year.
fi-rem.com About us
Established in 1815, Brabners is a purpose-led independent law firm with more than 500 colleagues across four offices in Lancashire, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.
We’re also a certified B Corp and recognised as the Best Law Firm to Work For in the UK by Best Companies.
I personally mainly work with clients from SMEs to large companies on a broad range of corporate transactions.
Why we love doing business in Lancashire
For us, it’s not about how doing business in Lancashire benefits us, it’s more what we can do for organisations in Lancashire, and it’s been like that for decades.
Personally, I like being able to work closely with local organisations to review their strategic objectives together, and really drill down on where we can assist them to achieve those over the longer term.
I’ve always found that there’s a real willingness from Lancashire- based organisations to do that.
What’s great about living in Lancashire
I love living in Lancashire and the access to the local countryside that’s right on your doorstep.
I think it’s really important to maintain a work-life balance and going for a walk is the perfect way to switch off, recharge and refresh.
