Petroc Prospectus | HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE
WHAT DID OUR LEARNERS SAY? MAISY, HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE, LEVEL 3
"I really enjoyed the opportunities we were given when on placements, there was a huge range of places we could go and get experience and it helped me decide which areas I preferred and which areas didn’t suit me as well. It also allowed me to gain so much confidence, and there was always amazing support from all the lecturers, whether this was with the coursework, placement or just general life.
Everyone is friendly and helpful at Petroc and the access to the general site and any support is so easy. It is a really nice place to study, with special quiet areas where you can study and know you won’t be distracted. They have thought of everything a student would need to be able to support them to get their best potential grade."
Level 1 DBS
In order to undertake any of our Health and Social Care courses, you will be required to have a criminal records check (DBS). This is a legal requirement and must be completed before you go on your placement.
Once you have acquired a DBS at college, it will not need to be renewed every year. If you progress to another Health and Social Care course after your first year, your DBS check will still be valid. A copy of your DBS will be held by your placement setting.
