Develop your understanding of a wide range of topics, including Cellular Structure, Physiology, Biochemistry and Gene Technology through a range of stimulating activities. You will need a grade 6 in Biology or grade 6 in both Core Science and Additional Science.

Prestigious careers like medicine, veterinary science and pharmacy all require a sound knowledge of Chemistry. Building on topics you will have covered at GCSE, you will progress onto new territories such as spectroscopy and the transition metals. You will need a grade 6 in Chemistry or grade 6 in both Core Science and Additional Science.


COMPUTER SCIENCE FTB264


Learn the principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, decomposition, logic, algorithms and data representation. This subject will encourage you to think creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically. You will be required to achieve a grade 6 or above in Mathematics.


ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE FTB014


Discover how humans interact with their environment and if a finite world can supply a growing population. This highly-relevant and topical course will teach you how to analyse real-world problems. You will be required to achieve a grade 5 in two sciences or a grade 5 in both Core Science and Additional Science. You will also need a grade 5 in Maths.


HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE FTB020


Specialist career-related BTEC qualification which combines practical learning with subject and theory content. Designed for students who wish to study health and social care alongside other A-level subjects, usually in order to gain UCAS points towards progression to university. Gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed to successfully progress on to further education or employment in the social care, social work or healthcare sectors. You will be required to achieve a minimum grade 4 in English and Maths, as well as at least three other GCSEs at grade 4.
