HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE
Our Health and Social Care programmes teach vital skills such as teamwork, communication and research which help you to liaise with individuals in care as well as parents and guardians and care providers.
Good work experience is imperative for gaining employment in this industry, and we are delighted to be able to offer students the opportunity to undertake fantastic work experience including working with local special needs schools, and helping primary age pupils with learning and/or physical difficulties with their swimming lessons. You will also have the opportunity to visit Sweden to develop skills in team building, communication and cultural awareness, as well as carrying out work experience in a care home specialising in dementia.
These outstanding opportunities, coupled with the expert knowledge provided by lecturers, will give you all the skills you need to progress into a wide range of rewarding careers or onto a degree-level programme.
