Fibrecount Inspection & Testing

Fibrecount Inspection & Testing

Fibrecount Inspection & Testing is an interna- tional environmental and asbestos laboratory specialised in the sampling and analysing of asbestos and ceramic materials. Fibrecount operates on an international basis, by means of regional offices comprising an asbestos laboratory. The field surveyors are fully equip- ped to take air and material samples anywhe- re in the world and analyse these on location.

Based upon our corporate motto ‘Keeping the future in shape’, Fibrecount is dedicating all its efforts to a healthy and safe living and working environment on a daily basis. Fibrecount has over 30 years of experience and expertise in the area of final testing aſter asbestos removal, validation and simulation measurements, asbe- stos analyses by means of optic microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. Particularly in the industrial, maritime and offshore sectors, problems regarding asbestos and IHM (Inven- tory Hazardous Materials) still require a lot of attention. Despite the many different rules and regulations around the world, asbestos is still being used in many applications, both in existing and new installations. Fibrecount Inspection & Testing has a specialised group of surveyors operating on a global scale to per- form asbestos analyses on location and carry out releases aſter asbestos has been removed. Fibrecount Inspection & Testing is a part of the Shield Group, an international e-Tic group of companies specialised in environmental and health issues. With e-TIC, we mean that our companies operate in the areas of high-quality Testing, Inspection and Consultancy. This is combined with Education and e-services (data services). On a daily basis, our companies are involved in Risk & Compliance Management in the areas of hazardous substances, micro- biology, and risky situations. In addition to asbestos and other hazardous substances, Shield Group is specialised in areas such as fire and water safety (legionella), a healthy indoor climate, mould, fungi & wood rot, energy effi- ciency & performance, and industrial hygiene & safety. From this group of companies, we are able to take a load off our clients’ minds by looking

aſter the project management and/or general management. For example, we may coordinate the removal and release in a very efficient man- ner during the docking of a ship, or during an industrial stop, which will considerably reduce the downtime. Aſter the docking or stop, a ma- nagement plan is drawn up, allowing the client to take over the management of their asbestos or IHM issues.
