When weighing the pros and cons of visiting an attraction, guests are most concerned about friendly staff members, diverse experiences with a variety of attractions, and unique experiences that are out of the ordinary. Not only do these fuel the narrative of more single-day admissions, as travelers seek out new opportunities, but these are also in-line with the same priorities as in 2015. Interestingly enough, the intensity with which these attributes are considered fell slightly across all topics; which could suggest that, while still important, guests may be relaxing ever-so-slightly in their sensitivity to them.

Once on site, guests’ blood pressure seems to continue its calmer state, as the average impact of key pain points on guests’ perception of attractions hovers at 25%, five points lower than 2015. Indifferent or rude employees, dirty restrooms, and aggressive front- line staff can be the biggest downers, followed closely by other rude or ill-tempered guests. In the state of permanxiety that fills travelers’ days moment-to- moment, these once day-ruining experiences may no longer seem so important in the big picture of their daily news-stream.

Just as Friendly Employees are Most Important,

ATTRACTION VISITORS INDICATED EMPLOYEES WHO ARE

INDIFFERENT OR EVEN RUDE Have the Most Negative Impact on Their Experiences.
