PAID CONTENT FOR KAIRALI - THE AYURVEDIC HEALING VILLAGE

Kairali – The Ayurvedic Healing Village KERALA, INDIA

Kairali – The Ayurvedic Healing Village is located in Kerala, known as the home of ayurveda and wellness. The region is famous not only as a serene natural environment that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation, but also as a unique opportunity to experience authentic ayurvedic treatments and therapies through its rich history of traditional Keralan medicine. The retreat is in the Palakkad district,

also known as the ‘granary of Kerala’, a region that’s famous for its lush green paddy fields, ancient temples and rich cultural heritage. The district is also home to the Silent Valley National Park, one of the last remaining tropical rainforests in India. The retreat’s 30 villas combine traditional

Keralan architecture and vastu shastra, a traditional system of Indian architecture similar to feng shui, as well as being based on architect Laurie Baker’s style of sustainable architecture. Its sprawling 60 acres of greenery is home to large numbers of coconut, teak and mango trees that help to create a serene healing atmosphere.

The retreat is an endeavour by the Kairali

Ayurvedic Group to showcase the legacy of ayurveda through authentic treatments and to promote a healthy lifestyle to a global audience. Guests start their journey towards wellness from the moment they’re welcomed with a cosy authentic Keralan stole and the traditional Indian greeting of ‘Namaste’ by the friendly staff. The villas were renovated in 2022 and feature

individually unique interior and exteriors, and are based on vastu shastra and Keralan zodiac signs. The decor is simple yet elegant, with the large windows opening up to the lush greenery outside and letting sunlight stream in. Guests can meet with experienced ayurvedic

physicians who perform detailed personalised consultations that take into account their unique physical and emotional needs. Guests are then presented with customised treatment, a bespoke yoga and meditation routine, as well as a specially tailored meal plan. There are more than 30 types of treatment on offer, including body detoxification, pain management, and lifestyle-related programmes.

DON’T MISS Panchakarma is a five-step detox programme that provides a total detoxification of the body, mind and soul
