Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa ZAKOPANE, POLAND
SPECTACULAR DESIGN, EXCELLENT CUISINE BASED ON LOCAL INGREDIENTS, AND A SPA WITH HOLISTIC TREATMENTS INSPIRED BY THE SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS
Be it summer or winter, Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa is ideal for travellers looking to immerse themselves in a beautiful landscape while enjoying five-star hospitality. The mountain town of Zakopane, often called
‘the winter capital of Poland’, offers a once-in-a- lifetime travel experience. In addition to marvelling at the majestic mountains, travellers are treated to rich folklore, an amazing nightlife and delicious local cuisine. Zakopane’s historical attractions are plenty — from the famous Witkacy Theatre through to spectacular villas, churches and museums. The Nosalowy Park Hotel concierge are always on hand to help guests make the most of their stay.
Location and design Nosalowy Park Hotel is located in the very centre of Zakopane, a short walk away from the bustling main street’s shops, bars and restaurants. Yet, the hotel’s immediate surroundings are quaint and peaceful, with a beech tree park and a magnificent view of the mountain panorama. Using selected

materials such local timber, slate and glass, the design of the hotel skilfully combines art deco with art nouveau — reflecting Villa Marilor, Nosalowy Park’s Grade A listed building, which dates back to the end of the 19th century. Villa Marilor was purposefully preserved to allow guests to travel back to a time when it was a meeting place for early- 20th century artists, bohemians and politicians.
Inspiration from the Tatras Alongside Zakopane’s many attractions, the true presence felt in the region is that of the spectacular Tatra Mountains. Called ‘pocket Alps’ for a reason, the Tatras boast dramatic landscapes with peaks, valleys, waterfalls, and an abundance of plant and animal life, making them one of the most beautiful hiking and skiing destinations in Central Europe. The most memorable peak — bearing a striking resemblance to a ‘sleeping knight’ (giewont) — can been seen from every part of Zakopane. The harsh mountain environment that reigns in the area is ubiquitous — seen in the Indigenous highlander
population (Górale), folklore, art and architecture. It can also be tasted in the regional cuisine, which is rich, hearty and based on local ingredients rarely seen elsewhere. The Tatras’ presence is also felt at Nosalowy Park
Hotel, not least because of its view of the mountain panorama. The hotel’s decor speaks to many of the landscapes and vistas in the Tatras, and the cuisine constantly reminds guests of the stunning surrounds. From breakfast through to dinner, alongside international and Polish classics based on regional ingredients, guests are treated to a range of dishes inspired by local traditions. Situated in the historical villa, Marilor restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience crafted with international guests in mind. The menu features moskol (a pie from boiled potatoes), dumplings and kwaĆnica (a regional soup made from cabbage), to show off the history of the region with a modern twist — the chef’s own take on local cuisine. Try regional tapas, paired with the best wines from Poland and abroad, mutton, local fish, prime beef, as well as a range
of vegetarian dishes. Marilor also offers indulgent desserts, and for younger travellers a variety of kids’ meals are available. In the outside garden, guests can relax among flowers and beech trees and enjoy speciality dishes from a wood-fired barbecue.
Try a tranquil treatment Even the busiest days spent exploring the region can fade into oblivion, thanks to the tranquil treatments on offer at the hotel’s own NABE SPA (named after its ethos of both ‘nature’ and ‘beauty’). Look forward to massages, baths and skincare based on the best ingredients, including local plants and herbs. The spa has its own line of products (also available to buy), as well eight elegant massage rooms and a VIP suite with its own private sauna. The masseurs are trained in a wide range of classical treatments, but guests are encouraged to try signature rituals performed with birch twigs or highlander beads. Then, spend the rest of the day enjoying the calming spa facilities — head to the swimming pool, relaxation area, saunas or the brine graduation tower.
Hospitality at its finest Nosalowy Park Hotel offers a range of rooms and suites, some on the top floor with private gardens and a remarkable view of the Tatras. All are spacious, equipped to a five-star standard and designed in keeping with the historical feel of the property. Guests are greeted by free snacks and pastries prepared on-site and can order a variety of meals and services from the comfort of their room. Pets are welcome and will have their own welcome set waiting for them upon arrival. The lobby area — with a bar serving both delicious coffee and a range of cocktails — offers a chance to relax or even catch up on work, if needed, using lightspeed internet access. Whatever the time of year, a visit to Zakopane is
a must. With everything that the Nosalowy Park Hotel and Zakopane have on offer — from indulging in the sumptuous cuisine, enjoying the spa, hiking or skiing in the magnificent Tatra Mountains, to walking around the beautiful historic town — travellers are almost guaranteed to finish their holiday relaxed and with a head full of wonderful new memories from this remarkable place.
