Taking on science in a school can be a challenge. Even more so if you are a new science leader or want to bring new ideas to the role.
This course will give you the confi dence to bring science to life while fi nding out how to create a science development plan for the whole school. Step by step, the training will help you assess your school’s current science status, while helping you identify the areas of development and how to make them into strengths.
There will be opportunities to share best practice with other science subject leaders and to explore useful resources, assessment practices and tips for organising science events.
Learning outcomes
✓ Asses your school’s current science status and plan a curriculum which supports progression and deepens understanding of science.
✓ Discover and utilise a range of useful resources to support science teaching.
✓ Understand and implement best practice.
✓ Support colleagues to feel confi dent in their science teaching.
