Course overview Some children seem to take to maths easily while others do not. Why is this?
As someone who struggled in school with an undiagnosed learning diffi culty, Andrew has developed a deep understanding of how it feels for children to be stuck with maths.
On this course, he will explore the problems struggling mathematicians face, the likely causes and insightful solutions to enable you to support children in your class.
Learning outcomes
✓ Identify the diffi culties and issues around learning maths.
✓ Look at the most appropriate resources to help struggling learners.
✓ Help teachers and TAs to support children who may only have superfi cial maths knowledge.
✓ Provide strategies to encourage resilience and confi dence.
