Course number: 22 KS1 KS2 Course overview


This course will take you on a journey to explore thinking, reasoning and communicating in maths.


You will have the opportunity to explore eff ective questioning and consider how everyday activities can be adapted to promote higher order thinking skills.


Practical activities will include hands-on opportunities to experience low threshold high ceiling tasks which enable inclusion and challenge for all in maths lessons.


Learning outcomes


✓ Refl ect on the importance of eff ective questioning and the use of errors and misconceptions to develop mathematical reasoning and deepen understanding.


✓ Consider and explore tasks and resources that support the development of thinking and reasoning skills.


✓ Explore the value of rich activities that enable inclusion and challenge for all in maths lessons.
