The 2018 Teacher Assessment Framework identifi ed some key aspects of greater depth in writing at the end of KS2. This course will enable you to unpick the framework statements and to consider strategies which will enable pupils to achieve them.


Jo will explore ways to ensure that writers are controlling diff erent registers as well as links with reading, wider vocabulary and the use of punctuation.

✓ Unpick the GDS statements, looking at how these build on the expected statements.


✓ Understand how to encourage children to draw on their reading in their writing.


✓ Ensure a whole key stage approach.
