Course overview This course covers four key sessions:


• Making the most of the internet: how using tools such as blogging to publish and promote children’s work can make learning more real and engaging.


• Apps to bring the curriculum alive: encourage quality speaking and listening opportunities for children, allowing them to demonstrate their understanding of a text, concept or topic.


• Working smarter, not harder: gain a decent work/life balance while giving more eff ective feedback and evidencing and assessing learning more eff ectively and effi ciently.


• The read, write, perform approach: use this approach to raise standards in writing and every element of the English curriculum, culminating in a performance to show greater depth through fl uency.


Learning outcomes


✓ Uncover Lee’s three-point approach to raising standards in writing using technology.


✓ Take away ideas and practical activities to use in the classroom.


✓ Look at real examples of how schools have implemented technology and how it links to the primary curriculum.
