Pennsylvania - Acres Manfacturing Company’s Foundation casino management system is enabling cashless gaming at Penn National Gaming’s new Hollywood Casino York in Pennsylvania, following previous installations at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and the Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Pennsylvania. Foundation will continue to be deployed at Penn National casinos pending regulatory approvals.

At Penn National, Foundation interfaces to Penn National’s mychoice wallet, which is powered by Everi Holdings’ digital CashClub Wallet, to transfer funds from player accounts to the game of their choice. The solution works on slot machines and table games throughout the casino floor. In addition to cashless technology, AMC’s Foundation provides a real-time stream of player behaviour data delivered through an open API that allows Penn National to understand and predict player behaviour and preferences.

“We at Acres applaud Penn National’s efforts to constantly improve the player experience” said John Acres, Founder of AMC. “Penn National’s technical team very quickly harnessed the power of Foundation to deliver the best cashless gaming system in the industry.”

“We are thankful for the hard work and collaboration with Acres and Everi in helping us deliver industry leading customer engagement technology,” said Todd George, Executive Vice President of Operations at Penn National. “This partnership allows for our customers to safely and securely fund their favourite slots and table games cardless, cashless and contactless without the need to carry cash or go to an ATM.”

P18 WIRE / PULSE / INSIGHT / REPORTS Te Washington Football Team has joined the American Gaming Association’s

Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly. public service campaign, making it the first NFL team to partner with the AGA to promote responsible sports betting.

Te Washington Football Team will connect Have A Game Plan in-stadium activations, sponsored content on washingtonfootball.com, and campaign promotion on the team’s upcoming preseason radio and television broadcasts.

“With legal sports betting now permitted across our region, we are ensuring responsible gaming serves as a foundation for how we engage in this exciting commercial market,” said Washington Football Team’s Chief Partnership Office, Scott Shepherd. “We’re not only proud to partner with the AGA, the architect of Have A Game Plan, but also to lead by educating fans as they enjoy football in an engaging, new way.”

“Getting sports betting right is a shared responsibility for everyone involved,” said AGA Senior Vice President Casey Clark. “Te Washington Football Team’s partnership demonstrates their leadership and commitment to making responsibility core to their sports betting strategy. Today’s announcement puts Have A Game Plan in front of more fans and is a step further in building a responsible, sustainable legal market.”

Canada

Canada’s Justice Minister, David Lametti, named August 27 as the in force date for Bill C-218. Tis was the final hurdle for the Criminal Code change to legalise sports betting, which means that provinces and casino operators can now move forward with their plans. Casino operators are looking forward to offering sports betting at their properties, and provinces will now have the authority to deliver a safe, legal, and controlled sports betting option to Canadians. Ontario MP, Chris Bittle, said: “Canadians have been betting on sports for a long time, but there's been a relic in the Criminal Code that has prevented betting on individual events. We have an opportunity to regulate, control it and take the money out of the hands of organised crime.” Canadians spend $10bn a year betting in the black market with $4bn a year spent in the grey market.

Te season-long campaign launched during the team’s first home preseason game on August 20 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Te Washington Football Team’s pre-season radio and television broadcasts will include 20- second spots encouraging fans to bet responsibly and directing fans to AGA’s Have a Game Plan website for resources and other information.

Sports betting is now legal and live in 22 states and the District of Columbia. During the NFL season, six additional states are expected to launch. Te NFL has a long-standing partnership with the National Council on Problem Gambling.

Te AGA launched Have a Game Plan in late 2019 to educate sports fans on the principles of responsible sports betting. As the first NFL team to join the campaign, the Washington Football Team joins official campaign partners DraftKings, FanDuel, Monumental Sports and Entertainment, NASCAR, NHL, PGA TOUR, Sightline Payments, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Vegas Golden Knights, and UFC.
