Inspired Enjoys All Segment Growth


With all constraints on betting shops, pubs and holiday parks in England lifted, Inspired delivered YoY growth across all segments in the second quarter 2021.


Inspired’s retail businesses appear to have rebounded quickly to roughly pre-COVID levels.


UK RETAIL OPERATIONS


France - FDJ supplies retail services to LOTTO FDJ Gaming Solutions is set to provide its application and management suite for LOTTO Bayern’s new camera-based ELITE terminals. FDJ Gaming Solutions is providing its terminal application on the 4,300 camera-based ELITE terminals of LOTTO Bayern and its terminal management suite to allow it to operate, monitor and update its terminals.


“We are honoured by this mark of trust from LOTTO Bayern. Under this contract, we will work together with our key partner, FDJ Gaming Solutions. This project is part of our joint success story as we have been cooperating for more than 20 years,” said Timothée Carrus, CEO of Groupe Carrus.


Netherlands - Nederlandse Loterij fined Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) has collected a penalty of €10,000 from Lotto, a brand of the Nederlandse Loterij (NLO) after it placed an advert for the game EuroJackpot on the website girlscene.nl, a website that focuses on minors.


The law prohibits the targeting of games of chance advertising at minors. The Authority said: "The Ksa imposed a cease and desist order on Lotto for placing advertisements on websites targeting minors. With this, the Ksa wants to ensure that the observed violations are stopped. Lotto must also take appropriate measures to prevent a recurrence in the future.”


Belarus - SOFTSWISS integrate crash games The SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator has announced the inclusion of crash games into its game portfolio. The Game Aggregator, currently comprising slots, table games, lotteries, live games, dice games, virtual sports, and casual games, will now offer crash gambling games from several game vendors.


Crash betting is different to other games of chance in that its mechanics are time-based. The player places a bet and watches the in-game multiplier, usually presented by a rising line graph. The higher the line rises, the bigger the multiplier. However, the line can ‘crash’ at any moment. It is up to the player to cash out before that happens to claim their win. If the player does not cash out on time, they lose their bet.

Inspired’s interactive business continued to display strong performance, and sequential growth, in all major markets, with revenue of $5.8m, an increase of 69 per cent year-over- year, due to the addition of new customers and territories and the consistent launch of new high-quality content. Tis expansion, as well as the associated costs to establish new geographies and licensed content, led to Interactive segment operating income increasing 46.8 per cent year-over-year to $2.6m, and Adjusted EBITDA increasing 45.7 per cent to $3.6m from $2.4m in the prior-year period. Te Interactive business generated record revenues for the company in July.


Total revenue came in at $41.5m with a net loss of $43.8m and Adjusted EBITDA of $8m. Greece


Yggdrasil has been granted a Greek supplier licence by the Hellenic Gaming Commission, enabling the publisher to launch its games portfolio to Greek players under the country’s newly revised online gaming regulations. Te licence enables a wide selection of games, including titles featuring Yggdrasil’s Game Engagement Mechanics and content from the supplier’s YG Masters programme, to be available for Greek players.
