Technology, features and even branding can all be mirrored by competitors, but mindset - defined by speed, work ethic and a

willingness to iterate - remains the company’s core differentiator. It is a philosophy rooted in execution rather than invention alone, and one that has underpinned Soft2Bet’s ability to bring multiple brands and products to market within a single quarter.

URI POLIAVICH Founder and CEO, Soft2Bet

never prioritised, unexpectedly attracted around 70 percent of daily users and generated engagement rates above 90 percent. Te result was both surprising and instructive, highlighting that even in a highly competitive and innovation-driven sector, intuitive and familiar mechanics can outperform more complex systems when they resonate with player behaviour.

Tis insight feeds directly into Soft2Bet’s broader strategic ambition to reshape the nature of online gambling itself. Poliavich has been increasingly vocal about his dissatisfaction with what he describes as the industry’s “hardcore” legacy - repetitive slot formats, standardised mechanics and a narrow focus on transactional play. In its place, he is pushing for a more entertainment-driven model, one that blends gaming, social interaction and lighter-touch engagement.

Te evolution of the MEGA product suite sits at the heart of this transition, with new mechanics planned across both sportsbook and casino verticals, as well as future extensions into sports such as tennis and basketball. Te aim is not just to differentiate, but to broaden the appeal of gambling by making it feel less like a pure wagering activity and more like a form of digital entertainment.

Te upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 provides a natural platform to accelerate that shift. Soft2Bet is preparing a gamified tournament module built around the event, enabling players to compete in peer-to- peer formats, enter structured competitions and engage with live content in a more interactive way.

Rather than relying solely on traditional sportsbook activity, the company is looking to extend user engagement through social and competitive mechanics that keep players active before, during and after matches. It is a continuation of the same principle seen throughout Q1: engagement is no longer just about betting, but about participation.

Alongside product and market performance, Soft2Bet continues to strengthen its regulatory and commercial footprint. Te company has submitted a licence application in Alberta ahead of the province’s expected market launch, while progress in Spain and Portugal signals further expansion across Europe.

Its sponsorship strategy reflects the same localised thinking evident elsewhere in the business, with partnerships ranging from Canadian lacrosse teams to Romanian football club CFR Cluj. Tese are not global headline deals, but targeted agreements designed to embed the brand within specific communities and audiences.

In a sector where new ideas are often quickly replicated, Poliavich remains focused on what he believes cannot be copied. Technology, features and even branding can all be mirrored by competitors, but mindset - defined by speed, work ethic and a willingness to iterate - remains the company’s core differentiator. It is a philosophy rooted in execution rather than invention alone, and one that has underpinned Soft2Bet’s ability to bring multiple brands and products to market within a single quarter.

With targets of 20 per cent revenue growth and a 29 per cent increase in EBITDA for Q2, the company is entering its next phase with clear momentum. Yet the more significant takeaway from Q1 may lie beyond the numbers. Soft2Bet is not just scaling its operations; it is attempting to redefine how engagement is created within the sector.

Localisation over standardisation, simplicity alongside innovation and entertainment as a guiding principle all point towards a model that challenges traditional assumptions about online gambling. If the first quarter was about understanding the track, the next may reveal just how effectively Soft2Bet can translate that preparation into sustained speed.
