Bringing up her details, we can see that she is a regular Diamond status player and in the 20 minutes we’ve been talking to Mr. Kostadinov, has bet €600 and won €750. Nothing about her appearance or what she is wearing marks her out as especially ‘VIP,’ and yet max bet play and player history clearly define her as one of the hall’s top players.

halls, which we were politely steered away from, lest our view of the bright and shining gaming halls be tainted – or worse. However, the gaming
halls and casinos we did visit exceeded the highest standards and the VIP salon and service at the Royale Palms was a match for any of the locations we’ve visited around the world.
As we travelled through the centre of Sofia, past glass domes protecting the fragile ruins of an ancient amphitheater, the largest ever built outside Rome, dynamited by the communist regime to make way for the austere city hall, Bulgaria has a history of reinventing, rebuilding and redefining itself. Its past still colours the fabric of the city, but the optimism of a younger generation of both operators and players to create new, contemporary experiences, is what leaves a lasting impression.
Te fact that the government has played such an important and stabilising role in remodeling the industry shows that a balance can be struck that is beneficial to everyone.
Sofia hides its treasures and without a guide, our experience in the city would no doubt have been very different, but if you know where to look, the shining new palaces built for gaming are filled with gems and the direction for online gaming in Bulgaria is especially bright.
