the product of a new, US based, game development team created as a result of a corporate initiative taken by AGT’s CEO, Danny Gladsdtone: Rumble Tunder and Toro Treasure, shown in the A640 cabinet, being the show standouts.
Konami Gaming, latest game developments for its Concerto Collection of video slots included Castlevania themed slots; the all-new progressive game series Cai Lai Si Ji and Smash Smash Festival; custom single screen releases Dragons Fury and Pharaoh’s Fury.
Te stepper lives on! What used to be derided as ‘old fashioned’ gaming have undergone a revival in recent times and Aristocrat made the new Relm™ stepper cabinet (the result of a co-operation between Aristocrat and its sister company, VGT) the start of their NIGA presence. With 24 new game titles in the first year and a commitment to produce 24 new titles each year for the next five years the Relm cabinet ushers in a new – and enhanced – era of stepper game play.
Novomatic Americas described early 2017 as being the ‘breakout year’ for both its products and the
company’s growing reputation. Te Reel Tournament version World Championship of Slots continues to evolve with new content and it is hoped that this bold concept will soon make its breakthrough as a reality play-based television production.
Multimedia Games built, over several years, a healthy reputation as leaders of the slot tournament genre with its travelling Tourn Event roadshow; a tradition that has been continued and strengthened following MMG’s merger with Everi. At NIGA Everi helped to promote and raise funds for the Spirit of Sovereignty by holding the Tribal Leaders Charity Slot Tournament.
Tis initiative, endorsed by NIGA Chairman Stevens as a means of helping to provide tribal college scholarships to those who need them most, featured a fast-paced tournament competition where t he top three finishers were able to donate $8,000, $3,000 and $2,000 respectively to their choice of tribal college or reservation-based program serving Native youth. “It was a terrific event,” said Spirit of Sovereignty coordinator David Garelick. “Te 13 players were so enthusiastic and the crowd that gathered to watch was impressive.”
Tat perhaps best summed up NIGA 2017. A great show, a celebration of tribal culture and a strong emphasis on tribal education that highlighted the commitment given by NIGA to creating not just jobs and wealth through Indian gaming, but opportunities also.
