At G2E Asia this year DRGT launched the latest evolution of player tracking interface, drScreenUltra, it is a stunning 1280 x 320 resolution 8.8-inch (23.8cm) multi-touch display.
Te product team, did a lot of research to come up with the new custom screen size, to find a solution that fits all historic and current slots and come up with the biggest player tracking display in gaming today.
Te large, crisper display gives operators better connectivity with their customers with a more appealing portal to interact with players, whilst giving players a richer experience at the slots. Te device allows the usual player tracking features such as, real time tracking points and tier level update notifications, live bonus and promotional messaging direct to the players at the slot. Its also allows players to watch and listen to the big match, favourite TV serial or music video whilst playing the machine.

All of these enhancements add a further level of engagement whilst the player is on the machine, increasing the time on device and enjoyment in the venue.
But this device is not just an improved screen; the evolution really starts under the skin.
drScreenUltra, incorporates a built-in RFID reader behind the screen. Tis same technology allows players to simply tap their card on the designated area of the display to start their gaming session, as easily as they would make a contactless transaction payment with a debit card or mobile phone.
Tis technology is backwards compatible with DRGT’s existing cashless and player tracking RFID cards for an easy upgrade. More importantly, it is forward compatible with smart phones and other RFID devices, giving operator the ability to think beyond todays card based accounts. By opening up direct access to the player through casino smartphones application, it opens the door to huge possibilities for operators, from linking player accounts to their favourite social media platforms seamlessly, giving operators the power to communicate with the players with updates and offers directly to the player’s, media of choice, or even becoming the bridge between and operators land based and online casinos with one device to link them together.

Franz Lechner, Senior R&D Director, with his extensive industry experience, is well known in the gaming market as a technology leader.
He studied Electrical Engineering and Telematics at the Technical University in Graz.
Franz' first steps in the job market were as a hardware and software developer for motion control applications, quickly moving to head of development in the conveying industry company.
Back in 1996 Franz started working in the gaming industry, always involved in the development of advanced products for the market, these have included management systems, a roulette reader and several card- based cashless systems, just a few of the many where Franz has left his mark.
