Gaming Floor Live

TCSJohnHuxley’s heritage is firmly fixed in live table gaming, developing some of the industry’s benchmark products including the Chipper Champ 2, Mk 7 and Saturn Roulette Wheels and e-FX winning number displays, in addition to manufacturing beautiful handcrafted gaming tables and accessories.

For the last few years however, the company has invested heavily not only in developing products it has been known for, but increasingly in server based technology. A new division was set up in York to focus on providing a technology platform that offers real-time resilient event collection and redistribution. A series of modules providing optimisation, bonusing, media and electronic gaming solutions has been developed for the platform.

Te introduction of Gaming Floor Live (GFL) has revolutionised table gaming by offering a truly server based gaming platform that was previously only open to operators through their slot systems. With GFL there is only one server that provides the central administration of the system. Trough a range of highly flexible and configurable modules, the server not only delivers all the game content (for terminals) and bonusing (for progressives), for example, but also handles financial transactions and reporting. (For electronic gaming, GFL is compatible with SAS and other third party loyalty systems). Te most obvious advantage to the operator is security with a single database, as the logic is locked away and there is no opportunity for outside manipulation or interference.

Another major advantage is that investment in infrastructure is hugely reduced as is the cost of ownership. With the need for only one server, operators can now try out and add new modules without having to invest in additional infrastructure, the only extra costs are in the hardware gaming devices. Tis provides operators with a future proof system as there is no need to reinvest in infrastructure if they wish to upgrade, Gaming Floor Live allows them to just add and compliment what the already have.

Tis results in technicians needing very little training to become familiar with new modules, as the base platform and infrastructure remains the same with training being limited and focused to only the new features being added.

TCSJohnHuxley has always worked closely with operators developing custom products and services, but with Gaming Floor Live’s central server system this is quicker and easier than ever before. Since its introduction, operators such as Tsogo Sun in South Africa have benefited from being able to offer progressive bonusing options and games designed to their own requirements, seeing the largest ever jackpot won in their casinos, as well as over 1000 tables at Te Venetian in Macau, running the Optimisation module to optimise dealer procedures and game play.

Te latest product to be added to the GFL platform is Qorex, Electronic Gaming Solutions. Powered by the GFL Gaming module, the Qorex range of products provide unlimited electronic gaming solutions consisting of terminal, fixed and portable touch screen devices. Launched in late 2016, Qorex terminals have already been installed at Te Hippodrome and Grosvenor Casinos in the UK, with further installations in the coming months.

Qorex provides all the usual benefits of electronic gaming, but connected to GFL it can deliver far greater advantages. Operators can remotely see what is going on in all the terminals, since the game is being played on the central server and not on the terminal, whilst adding games and other content is easy as there is a central repository.

Te GFL platform continues to provide a powerful tool for operators with the possibilities of reporting, only restricted to what the customer wants it to do. Te Gaming Floor Live platform has endless capabilities that are driving TCSJohnHuxley’s development of products and services. Tese are exciting times and the future of live gaming is being delivered right now!
