Quixant Raises the Performance Bar IQON 3 and a new generation of customisable gaming platforms
At G2E Las Vegas, Leo Bateman, VP of Business Development, EMEA at Quixant, outlined how the company’s latest hardware range, including the fanless IQON 3, DDR5-ready IQ 2, and fully customisable QMAX solution , is reshaping the balance between reliability, scalability and performance for gaming and betting OEMs worldwide.
Leo, Quixant launched several new hardware platforms at G2E. What’s driving this new product cycle?
Our roadmap evolves in line with the needs of the market, and with the advances from AMD and Intel. With each new generation, we evaluate what adds the most value to the gaming sector. Tis year’s launches - the IQ 2, IQON 3, and customisable QMAX offering - represent natural progressions of proven Quixant designs that have been successfully deployed in the field for many years.
Everything we do is about enabling our customers to focus on what truly differentiates them - the content and the player experience. By outsourcing hardware development to Quixant, they gain access to our deep expertise, industry-specific integration support, and long- term reliability, freeing them to concentrate on innovation, gameplay, and delivering the ultimate experience to their players.
Te IQON 3 is being billed as Quixant’s most powerful all-in-one system to date. What sets it apart?
Te IQON 3 is a major leap forward, and perfectly matches the gaming market requirement for more power and performance. Powered by AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors with integrated Radeon graphics, it delivers around three times the graphical performance of our previous generation. Tat level of GPU capability means many customers can eliminate the need for a separate graphics card altogether.
It is a completely fanless design that runs cool and silent while supporting up to four 4K displays and 64 GB of DDR5 memory. Te power-to-efficiency ratio of the Ryzen 8000 series is outstanding, enabling us to offer high-end performance within a low-TDP, maintenance-free package that game manufacturers can deploy confidently for years.

How important was it to retain fanless options in a market that often prioritises raw power?
As with each of our platform ranges, having a variety of options for different markets, budgets and requirements is key. Having a fanless option here was very important. Customers love fanless systems because they simplify preventive maintenance and increase long- term reliability. A fanless platform that can still drive multi-screen cabinets or betting terminals without thermal issues is a huge win. AMD’s latest architecture makes that balance possible - high performance at low power, which is exactly what the market has been asking for.
Te QMAX range has been described as “custom by design.” What does that mean in practice?
Our QMAX offering is not a fixed product; it’s a fully customisable platform, which we develop in collaboration with our customers. Many Tier-1 manufacturers are moving away from building proprietary systems in-house because of the complexity, cost, and supply-chain risk involved. Te QMAX offering lets them specify their ideal architecture - from processor choice to I/O layout and cooling design - and we engineer it to their requirements. It can integrate either AMD or Intel technology, with or without discrete GPUs, and now supports DDR5 memory. Customers effectively gain an outsourced hardware development partner, reducing overhead while maintaining full control of performance and compliance - allowing them to channel their energy into creating world-class content and the ultimate player experience.
