In contrast, today's audience has matured in an environment rich in video game exposure. Tey not only grasp complex game mechanics but also have established expectations and affinities.

As a result, by introducing iGaming products that incorporate familiar mechanics and features reminiscent of their gaming backgrounds, we can effectively capture their attention and engagement in the competitive landscape.

What videogame mechanics have proven most effective at boosting engagement and retention in your player base?

Progression mechanics are among the most effective ways to keep players engaged over time. People enjoy feeling like they’re progressing, achieving goals, and being rewarded for their efforts, as seen clearly in titles like Penalty Shoot-out and Uncrossable Rush.

Te crash mechanic has also demonstrated real staying power, mainly because it taps into that thrill of timing and risk that keeps players engaged. It’s simple but deeply compelling, which is why it continues to attract such a broad audience.

Tap-based games, on the other hand, are still establishing themselves. Both the technology and the player experience are relatively new, yet there is significant untapped potential. As the format develops, we expect it to become an exciting area for innovation and growth.

How do you balance interactivity and speed with the core expectations of iGaming players?

Finding the right balance between interactivity and speed often depends on clarity, keeping gameplay intuitive while still offering something new. Our Penalty Shoot-out series exemplifies this approach.

Te first game was well received but had a slightly slower pace, so with Penalty Shoot-out: Street, we concentrated on making the action smoother and more dynamic, allowing players to really feel the impact of each kick.

Te result was a more natural, fast-paced experience that resonated strongly with players, especially in Latin America. It demonstrated that even small design changes, such as pacing and feedback, can significantly affect how players connect with a game.

Ultimately, it’s about maintaining that balance: preserving the simplicity and accessibility that iGaming players expect, while adding enough interactivity to make the experience engaging and true to the spirit of the gameplay.

Have these gamified or hybrid formats helped attract new or younger audiences?

Absolutely. Gamified and hybrid formats have definitely helped us reach newer and younger audiences. Many of today’s players grew up with video games, so they naturally look for familiar elements like progression, interaction, and dynamic visuals when playing iGaming titles. Tat’s something we try to reflect in our designs.

On the other hand, our collaboration with SlotCatalog on Uncrossable Rush also gave us valuable insights into how players respond to these formats. Both operators and players reacted positively, highlighting how campaigns like this can increase visibility and engagement.

Similarly, Tap Craze has connected well with younger audiences through its fast-paced style and fun, recognisable character, demonstrating how lighter, more interactive mechanics can broaden appeal without overcomplicating the experience.

Looking ahead, how is Evoplay planning to expand its use of video game elements?

We see considerable potential in further integrating video game elements into our portfolio. Te rapidly evolving video game industry constantly introduces new ideas, technologies, and interaction methods, many of which can be thoughtfully adapted to enhance the iGaming experience.

Our goal is to translate these mechanics in a way that feels authentic and intuitive for our players, adding depth and variety without compromising clarity or accessibility.

Several of the most effective elements from video games naturally align with iGaming principles, creating new ways to engage audiences and deepen player connections.

As we move forward, we aim to deliver experiences that are both innovative and true to our identity, developing games that entertain, surprise, and embody the unique Evoplay approach to creativity and design.
