VERNON HILLS, IL — Mitsubishi Electric has released its CNC Offset Manager soft- ware for remote modification of computerized numerical control (CNC) tool and work offsets. The software can introduce increased efficiency in multiple ways. It allows one operator to

manage more machines, speed- ing up machine set up and tool wear changes, or adjusts for parts out of tolerance, as well as centralizing the work so opera- tors don’t have to change location on the shop floor. CNC Offset Manager is thus geared towards

on Windows and is networked to the Mitsubishi Electric CNC by Ethernet. It also has a feature that allows other automation software or systems to interface with the CNC to fully automate the offset management process or make the changes from a cen- tral cell-management software. This allows software compa-
