Dual-Cure Epoxy, New from EpoxySet
WOONSOCKET, RI — EpoxySet has introduced its Flashbond® UV-3607HT, an actual dual cure epoxy that can be cured with UV energy or with heat or both. This one-part system can be cured with 365 LED light in under 10
seconds or at 125°C in about 30 minutes. It does not have to be activated with UV light to cure, making it distinctive from other “dual” cure epoxies. The UV- 3607HT has a low cure shrink- age and can be cured in thick- ness up to 2 mm. This optically clear polymer
allows for optical transmission of less than 98 percent from 400 to 2,000 nm. It produces very strong bonds to glass, ceramics and metals and most engineered plastics. Once fully cured it has a glass transition temperature of 125°C with outstanding electri- cal insulative properties and can be temperature cycled from –55 to 200°C.
