SHOW GUIDE IT’S SHOWTIME!
After two years of build up and excitement, ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam finally returns this month. Find out all about what is going on at the biggest event in the cleaning industry calendar in our extensive Show Guide.
Well, it’s been two years since the ISSA/Interclean show last rolled into Amsterdam. Two years of build up. Two years of excitement. And for me, nearly two years of ‘wait until you get to Interclean!’ Having joined the cleaning world not long after the dust had settled on the 2014 show, it feels like this year’s ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam has been a very long time coming, but now that it is here, I’m delighted to finally be heading over there.
I’ve already been given a pretty good briefing on what to expect at the show – the sheer size of it, the innovations on show, the need for comfortable footwear and, I’ll admit, the exhibitor parties – that I feel at least in some way suitably prepared, but something tells me that I’ll still be completely bowled over by what is bound to be a fantastic week-long celebration of all things cleaning.
Indeed, this isn’t my first rodeo, as the old saying goes, having travelled down to London for last year’s Cleaning Show at the Excel. But while that was certainly a very rewarding experience, and by all accounts a thoroughly successful event, it does feel like this is the big one, the title card, the main event, and so on.
With more than 800 exhibitors from as far afield as China, Australia,
United Arab Emirates and the United States, as well as right across Europe, ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam, held at the Dutch capital’s RAI centre from 10-13th May, is widely accepted as ‘the’ showpiece event for the industry, with the city becoming almost synonymous with the cleaning world – and not for some of the more notorious goings on that Amsterdam is known for when the sun goes down!
Here, we’ve put together what we believe is a comprehensive Show Guide for those of you lucky enough to be heading over to Amsterdam, as throughout the following pages, you’ll find all sorts of useful information on the show, including words from some of the big name exhibitors, as well as a detailed floorplan, a full seminar programme, and a few words from the organisers themselves – the ISSA. We’ve also got some exclusive features from Diversey Care, Kärcher and Kimberly-Clark Professional for your reading pleasure.
As I’m sure you’ll know by now, Tomorrow’s Cleaning magazine will be exhibiting in Amsterdam, so if you’re heading over there yourself – either as an exhibitor or a visitor – feel free to stop by stand 01.118 to say hello.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Be sure to keep up to date with all the latest goings on from ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam, direct from the show floor, by following the Tomorrow’s Cleaning Twitter page (@TomoCleaning). Here, you’ll find exclusive photos, videos and insightful (if I may say so myself) Tweets, keeping you constantly updated throughout the 4-day extravaganza.
