NEW GENERAL MANAGER AT ALEX REID SETS THE PACE WITH STRONG


STRATEGIC ALLIANCES Christeyns UK has announced the appointment of Stuart Fullerton as the new General Manager for Alex Reid, the Leicester-based supplier of laundry and dry cleaning products.


Alex Reid is an established name in the laundry business and supplies national companies such as Johnsons, Jeeves, Waitrose and Morrisons, as well as more than 3,000 independent laundry outlets across the UK. The firm provides essential consumables, chemicals, laundry supplies, sundries, machinery, spares and parts, stocking over 3,500 items in total.


Stuart joined Alex Reid in 2015 as Head of Finance, working across all internal departments at the firm. Originally from Lincolnshire, he has a wealth of commercial experience, having been involved in a number of business sectors and an in- depth knowledge of the distribution industry in particular. In his new role as General Manager, Stuart will be leading the company forward as they enter a new period of regeneration and growth.

One of Stuart’s first tasks has been to introduce new branding and oversee a complete company refresh. The new branding is the start of a roll-out plan that will see new livery for its fleet of vehicles as well as a re-design and update of the warehousing and office complex in Leicester. The company has also announced two new valuable strategic alliances with

industry specialists Parrisianne and The Professionals Choice.


The alliances leverage the market- leading products and outstanding service packages available from Parrisianne Dry Cleaning Solutions Ltd and The Professionals Choice with Alex Reid’s long-standing relationships in the laundry and textile care industry. Customers will benefit from an enhanced product selection and the very best in machine maintenance and support.


Stuart commented: “At Alex Reid we have a long heritage in the laundry and dry cleaning industry and a deep understanding of our client needs. These two partners are ideal associates at the ideal time to help take Alex Reid to the next level, offering increased organic growth for all involved.”


Parrisianne is one of the leading dry cleaning machinery suppliers in the United Kingdom and this new partnership gives Alex Reid UK sub- distribution rights for the entire range


of Union equipment. Parrisianne are the only UK distributor of Union products, part of the Italian FMB Group, and as such are experts in their field.


In addition a new agreement has been forged with The Professionals Choice which will allow Alex Reid to offer the laundry trade enhanced access to the Primus range of washing, drying and wet cleaning machinery. This new partnership will strengthen the ties between the two companies, who will work together to support the brand.


Since becoming part of Christeyns UK in 2012, Alex Reid has invested more than £20k in training and along with its sales support service provides a team of professional, specialised engineers who offer peace of mind both on and off-site. The company delivers nationwide on a scheduled service operating from depots in both Leicester and Ealing.
