OLTEC FM ACHIEVES PRESTIGIOUS BICSc


ACCREDITATION Wigan-based facilities management business Oltec FM is celebrating after receiving accreditation by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc).


Luanne Mason, Facilities Management Director at Oltec FM, underwent a rigorous training process to be certified as a qualified BICSc assessor, allowing her to support the training and assessment of staff to the highest international standards. Oltec FM is now implementing the training across all cleaning staff within the business, including senior leadership teams.


Oltec FM is one of the first facilities management companies in the UK to have on-site training and assessment facilities at its headquarters in Wigan.

BUSINESS AWARD Stirling-based Perfect Service Solutions has been named Best Small Business 2016 in the third annual Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce Awards.


Co-founders Simone Hart Sibbald and Eddie Tierney were delighted to receive the honour during a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Dunblane, Perthshire.

Perfect Service Solutions specialises in ductwork cleaning for indoor air hygiene and kitchen extract in the food and facilities management industries and its high profile clients include catering providers Sodexo and fast food giant McDonald’s.


It was the first time the family-run firm, which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary, had entered the annual awards.

They also provide services for The Light – Leisure Scheme in Leeds and many other centers including Trinity Walk shopping centre in Wakefield.


The British Institute of Cleaning Science is the largest independent, professional and educational body within the cleaning industry, with more than 10,000 individual and corporate members in the UK and internationally.

Perfect Service Solutions, which employs 30 staff, marked its 10th birthday on February 15 this year after being founded by Ms Hart Sibbald and her stepfather Eddie Tierney in 2006.


Ms Hart Sibbald said: “We started the business as the global recession hit but we survived and thrived and are having our most profitable and successful year so far.”
