Everyone’s on their holidays, festivals have come and gone, and the weather has been reliably unreliable. Summer can be a quiet time of year for many industries, but not so much for the cleaning industry.

This month, we’re taking a look at the world of Event Clean-up, with CleanEvent Services going through the three stages of proper event clean-up procedures. Meanwhile, Tork’s Amelia Baker looks into the common issues with washrooms at summer events, and what can be done to improve things.

Tork are also on form in our Industrial Cleaning feature section, where they discuss how to create a more efficient, hygienic and orderly workshop, an environment that typically deserves its reputation as a cluttered, dirty mess. They’ve turned to the Japanese ‘5S’ principle, which you can read more about inside. Also, NCH Europe highlights how not all degreasers are made equal, while Kaivac discusses methods of saving time cleaning industrial washrooms.

Finally, in our Pressure Washers and Steam Cleaning section, Kärcher explains how hygiene, cleanliness and safety can be improved with minimal effort thanks to the power of water and steam (and even dry ice), while CleanSweep Hire talks about the benefits of renting pressure washers over buying them. Deb shows us all why foam hand soaps are the future, and we hear from the new Deputy Chair of the British Cleaning Council, Paul Thrupp.

Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy the issue!
