Here, we learn how their Symmetry Hand Hygiene and Eco Proportioning Programmes are making a big difference at home and abroad.
COMPLAINTS TO COMPLIMENTS AT
AUTUMN RIDGE Lou Meghan, Maintenance Director at Autumn Ridge Personal Living, wanted to find a ‘one-stop shop’ for the facility’s cleaning and maintenance needs. Once he was introduced to Buckeye, he was eager to implement the Symmetry®
Hand Hygiene
Programme, Buckeye Hard Floor Care Programme, and the Buckeye Eco® Proportioning Programme.
Meghan and his staff weren’t satisfied with the feel and quality of their previous hand hygiene products. They tried Symmetry Foaming Hand Sanitiser, Symmetry Green Certified Foaming Hand Sanitiser and Symmetry Hair, Hand and Body Wash, and liked their quality and fragrances. They especially liked how much easier it was to dispense Symmetry Hair, Hand and Body Wash in the resident showers compared to their previous pump bottles. They were also impressed with how quick it was to change out product bags in the

dispensers. Additionally, the Symmetry programme proved to be much more cost effective.
Meghan also wanted to improve proportioning, and was introduced to the Eco Proportioning Programme. His previous products were expensive, the system was too big, and products were proportioned by hand. The Eco system is compact, and colour and number coded to correspond to a particular product, which makes it easy to use. Meghan said: “New staff members are able to pick up the job much quicker because of the ease of use of Eco.”
They have Eco systems installed with Eco Glass Cleaner HD E12, Eco Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner E15, Eco Acid Cleaner E16, Eco Neutral Disinfectant E23, Eco Floor Cleaner E32, and Eco Odor Eliminator E41. One of their favourite products is Eco Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner E15 because of its versatility. It can be used in multiple applications including carpet bonneting/extracting on carpeted areas in resident rooms, deep cleaning
in restrooms, and neutralising tough odors. Since Eco, Meghan has seen a reduction in overall product usage because products work the first time.
The Buckeye Hard Floor Care Programme has also helped to improve the overall shine and durability of their floors throughout the living centre. Meghan and his staff strip floors with RipSaw™ Floor Stripper, and it works in one application with no complaints about harsh odour. To finish floors, they use Clarion®
25 Floor
Finish as it provides a lasting shine. Staff members actually thought the floor was wet after Meghan applied Clarion 25.
Implementing Buckeye programmes has led to significant cost savings and Meghan added: “Complaints have now turned into compliments. The change in smell is unbelievable.” Everyone from the staff to the residents has noticed an improvement in the overall cleanliness of the facility. “When you make an effort to get your facility to look the best it can, the whole staff wants to help keep it that way.”
