HOW DO YOU MEASURE UP?

The Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards 2018 is open for entries. The biennial awards, founded in 1991, have been re- launched with a stronger focus on continuous improvement in the cleaning industry – by asking ‘How do you measure up?’

Do you have what it takes to triumph at Kimberly-Clark Professional’s Golden Service Awards 2018? and service is.”

One of the industry’s most esteemed events, the awards give Facility Management Companies, Contract Cleaners, and in-house Cleaning Teams the opportunity to showcase excellence and set new benchmarking industry standards.

Peter Oliver, General Manager UK, Ireland and France at Kimberly-Clark Professional, said: “After 25 years hosting the Golden Service Awards, the event has evolved to play a pivotal role in the industry. To ensure that the Awards continue to meet customer and business needs of tomorrow and drive innovation, we have re-focused the event on core industry areas.”

The event will take place on 8th March 2018 at The London Hilton Park Lane, attended by hundreds of senior director and management level representatives from the contract cleaning and facilities management industries. Awards in 14 categories will be presented recognising excellence across healthcare, office, education, retail, manufacturing, hospitality, environmental and training sectors.

The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) will independently oversee the whole judging process.

Stan Atkins, Chief Executive Officer of the BICSs, said: “To stand out this year, you have to demonstrate quality across all areas but most importantly, staff training and development, alongside a dedication to the consistent quality and continual raising of standards. As judges, we will be looking for clear achievement of excellence and not just if entry specifications are met. The size of the business is not part of the criteria, but a high quality of standards

HINTS AND TIPS FOR A WINNING ENTRY Kimberly-Clark Professional provides entrants with useful information about the entry process which starts with an online application form, including key criteria on what the judges are looking for and hints and tips on how to produce a winning entry.

The company has collated all this information into a detailed ‘How to Enter’ document which can be downloaded from the Golden Service Awards website.

Here is a snapshot of some of the hints and tips not to be missed:

• Make sure to read the ‘How to Enter’ document carefully and treat it like the ‘bible’ for each entry.

• Make sure all questions in the online form are answered fully – missing information diminishes the quality of your entry.
