Laboratory Products 37 New Incubation Shakers feature Intuitive Operation and Unrivalled Performance
With the Multitron Pro Infors HT launches a worthy successor to the well-known incubation shaker, Multitron 2. The new version features an enhanced user interface with a modern intuitive touch controller and unrivalled performance. With a wide range of options the Multitron Pro can be confi gured individually for every application.
The Multitron Pro is the successor of the incubation shaker Multitron 2 from Infors HT. “Usability, Design and Performance were the key aspects of the development,” said Dr Daniel Bruecher, Product Manager Shakers.
The new user interface of the Multitron Pro features intuitive control and has been optimised in detailed studies with users, psychologists and specialists. “The result is an intelligent controller which guides the user through the menu with targeted feedback responses and makes for the intuitive control,” said Dr Daniel Bruecher.
Other areas of Multitron technology have also been enhanced: The newly designed double glass door, for example, allows an even wider temperature range, is easy to clean and makes for improved performance when humidifi cation is installed.
Further options are available, for example, cooling, illumination and even a ShakerBag Option for cultivation in disposable bags. This enables individual confi guration. “The Multitron Pro is the perfect choice for every application and can be confi gured for every need, with no limitations”, said Dr Daniel Bruecher “which equates to unrivalled performance.” Find more information on Mulitron Pro here

The Intuitive Dosing Pump for Aggressive and Corrosive Liquids
Dynamic Temperature Control System Product Series Expanded
The new Grande Fleur, a Huber Kältemaschinenbau product, extends Huber’s portfolio of dynamic temperature control systems. Larger than a Petite Fleur but smaller than a Unistat Tango, the Grande Fleur offers users more power at a reasonable price.
Like the Petite Fleur, the Grande Fleur is one of the ‘small Tangos’, the smallest cooling-heating circulators in the Unistat range. Like all Unistats, the Grande Fleur is characterised by unique thermodynamic properties.
Dosing very aggressive and corrosive liquids in laboratories is a challenge. Diaphragm pumps are the ideal tool for this diffi cult task.
The new SIMDOS® 02 FT (PTFE) from KNF has been
especially developed for the transfer of aggressive chemicals. To do this, the SIMDOS®
02 FT is fi tted
with a PTFE head, a PTFE-covered diaphragm, and chemically resistant FFKM Kalrez® optionally available Chemraz®
valves. An -valve kit even allows
using the pump with highly concentrated acids such as nitric, sulphuric and hydrochloric acids and solvents such as TFH, DMF, DMSO and MEK. The pump head is situated outside the splash-protected IP-65 housing, providing a very signifi cant safety feature.
Also available with heads in PP or PVDF, the new SIMDOS®
02 FT dosing pump transfers liquids with
a fl ow rate of 30 µl to 20 ml/min, and dose volumes of 30 µl up to 999 ml. Following calibration, repeatability is +/-1% (full range) and the pump offers excellent long-term stability and consistent reliability throughout entire processes. The SIMDOS® 02 FT is safe to run dry and is self-priming up to 2 m. It is effective against pressures of up to 6 bar, and transfers viscous media up to 150 centistokes. The integrated software permits the transfer parameters to be modifi ed for a range of different viscosities at the touch of a button. Thanks to its neat design and small footprint, the new SIMDOS®
02 FT dosing
pump takes up very little valuable laboratory space.
SIMDOS® 02 FT
highlights include: FT head / FFKM valves for aggressive and corrosive liquids; intuitive operation; fast and simple calibration; pause function without data loss; adjustable
transfer parameters; splash-protected design for increased safety; minimal footprint.

This makes it a first choice for temperature control applications where top speed and highest accuracy are essential. With its compact design, the Grande Fleur is perfectly suited for highly accurate temperature control of research reactors, as well as for material stress testing or temperature simulation.
The unit has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +200°C and a cooling power of 0.6 kW at 0°C (with full pumping capacity pursuant to DIN 12876). The Grande Fleur has all the great features of the Unistat series, such as comfortable process data logging, environmentally friendly refrigerant, and extra-short heating and cooling times.
With capacities of up to 38 l/min, the adjustable circulation pump ensures optimum heat transfer. A soft start and an optional pressure control protects glass reactors from damage and balances out changes in viscosity in the fluid circuit.
The Grande Fleur is equipped with the brilliant 5.7” touchscreen controller Pilot ONE and the E-grade ‘Professional’ extended functionality.
This means that the Grande Fleur comprises by default all functions required for demanding temperature control jobs – such as TAC cascade control, programmer, graphic display, calibration programs, and USB, Ethernet and RS232 interfaces.
The Grande Fleur is available with air or water cooling; another version is intended for external open temperature control applications.

Petite Fleur and Grande Fleur are the smallest temperature control systems in the Unistat range. Thanks to their compact form, the units can be operated in confined spaces, for example laboratory fume hoods. Both models are predestined for the temperature control of small and medium sized research reactors.
