ocated within a parade of shops, the mystery shopper found that the shop front was clean and well maintained. The


displays were eye-catching and, due to the time of year, ‘festive’.


The entrance to the pharmacy was maintained to a high standard and very well kept. There was no litter visible and all windows were clean with no unnecessary stickers that were not advertising products.


The store was well lit, making the browsing experience much easier. The back corner was decorated for a festive time with candles, air fresheners and other objects – such as cinnamon pot pourri - which were designed to create a nice ambience. There was no litter on the floor and all displays were maintained to a high standard.


Products were displayed in an eye-catching way and also in a well-merchandised way by product, making the store easy to browse.


Prices were displayed clearly on each product and the mystery shopper did not see any obvious gaps in the display shelves.


Although the counter was covered with jewellery and other small gifts, it was not cluttered and it was obviously there as a source of impulse purchases. The pharmacy had a lovely homely feel to it with the festive displays and friendly team members.


The mystery shopper was not acknowledged within the first minute of browsing the location, but this was mainly due to the fact that there was a queue of customers waiting to be served at the


dispensary counter and team members were focused on clearing the queue first.


While browsing the store, the mystery shopper noted that there were quite a few customers approaching the team members for assistance and that they were being served in a timely and professional way. Team members were friendly and approachable and all questions were answered well.


As the shopper approached the counter, they were served by Andrea. The shopper told Andrea that their partner had hurt his knee in a rugby tackle the previous weekend and had been complaining of pain since. Andrea enquired whether the shopper thought it was a sprain and also whether the patient had been taking Ibuprofen to help with the swelling. When the
