Happy Dogs = Happy Humans

Tracy Burge on her dog Maggie and Rowdy’s Pet Resort. We discovered Rowdy’s Pet Resort before it was built by way of its owner, Danielle Judge. Dani lives within a mile of us and had her in- home pet sitting business, Rowdy’s On The Run. We were leaving town, looking for a pet sitter. I’d never felt comfortable leaving Molly, our senior dog, at a boarding facility. Dani responded to our search for a pet sitter. We fell in love with her; her demeanor; the resources she had; the fact that she was previ- ously a vet tech. She took Molly into her home while we were out of town. After that, we would always plan our trips out of town only when Dani's schedule per- mitted her to pet sit Molly. After Molly passed away, we thought we would never be able to have

another dog. Then Maggie came into our lives and we adopted her. When Dani started building Rowdy’s Pet Resort, we knew that we would trust her to take care of Maggie like she had taken such good care of Molly. We went to their grand opening. It’s just a beautiful facility. They have everything a dog would need in any situation, including the veterinary hospital with Dr. Anna. Once, when we were out of town and Maggie was staying at Rowdy’s, she had a health issue. Dani just walked Maggie over to see Dr. Anna. It's just reassuring to know how well-prepared the facility and the staff are. Maggie is such a happy dog and she loves socializing and interacting with the other dogs. Now, we plan our trips out of town around the availability of Rowdy’s Pet Resort. I just won't leave Maggie anywhere else.”

Tonya Magee on her dog Gracie Lou and Rowdy’s Pet Resort. I moved from St. Pete to Apollo Beach to be closer to my mom. Gracie had been going to a place we loved in St. Pete and I couldn't find any- thing in Apollo Beach. A friend let me know about Rowdy's Pet Resort, and I believe it was their third day of being open that I stopped in for a visit and wow, I was just so impressed with the facility and staff. Gracie, our Boxer, cannot stay at home alone because she has health issues, so she spends a lot of time at Rowdy's. It is especially com- forting knowing that Dr. Bannon is right next door. I just know that my baby is being well cared for. Rowdy's is such a blessing for this community. I can't say enough good things about Danielle and her staff. Every month they bring in a

professional photographer to take photos of their Dog of the Month winner. Gracie was recently selected as Rowdy’s Pet Resort Dog of the Month. Of course, I was so proud of her.

“We’re not a facility for all dogs,” said Danielle, shown with Rowdy. “We do a three-hour meet and greet to evaluate each new dog and their response to other dogs. Boarding and daycare are not for every pet. If we’re not a good fit, we’ll make a recommendation for in-home pet sitting.”

Dr. Anna Bannon, shown here with her two dogs Chai and Mauve, graduated from the University of South Florida and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Much thought was taken in designing her veterinary practice next door to Rowdy’s Pet Resort. Immediately after checking in at the hospital, you’re taken to one of the four private exam rooms. Family Animal Hospital also has their own in-house blood testing lab so results are in 20 minutes or so. In her surgical suite, ani- mals are placed on an inflat- able pillow that is warmed for maximum comfort.
