One of the featured artists is Edrian Thomidis who is based in Wellington, Florida, and whose works are popular with collectors. She was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. After graduating with

honors and a degree in graphic design from the University of Florida, she embarked on a career in commercial design, creat- ing logos for Fortune 500 companies. “In 2014, I was inspired by a clay class at the Armory Art
Center in West Palm Beach,” Edrian said. “I discovered a new passion in ceramics. The special exhibition takes place at Florida CraftArt on
Central Avenue in St. Petersburg and focuses on artists’ interpre- tations of the world of pets. Art work will include fine craft creations, such as 3D portraits, artful storytelling, and functional items for pets and their humans. The show will run through August 10 and includes programming with community organizations around pet friendly initiatives that will educate, enlighten and delight. The Debate Continues: Cats VS. Dogs
There is currently a Call To Artists for this show which opens with a reception on August 10 at Morean Arts Center on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. Submit artwork of your favorite furry friend - be it cat or dog. Artwork and entry form must be received by Morean Art Center between August 3 through 5.
