The firth annual Howl-O- Ween Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest was a doggone success for Franklin’s Friends. The record crowd raised more than $51,000, which will be granted to local non-profit and government agencies in Central Florida for shelter/rescue, spay/neuter and community education projects. St.Petersburg This past October 6 marked the 28th annual SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk. The order of the day was perfect weather, bringing dog lovers to St. Petersburg’s beautiful Vinoy Park. The New Barker is honored to be one of the many corporate spon- sors of the event which raised more than $130,000 for the shelter.
