From A Cover Artist Thank you, again, for featuring my work on the cover of The New Barker. I have received lots of great feedback from the article. I also received a great commission from a gentleman who owns a golf cart company in Zephyrhills. He wants me to do a painting of his Bulldogs to be used in an ad campaign. FayBecca, Sanford
Team Effort For Shelter Pets. We love the ideas you created for the Maddie’s Fund #GetEmHomeChallenge. We can’t thank you enough for all of your support and hard work getting this together. The New Barker is such a wonderful advocate for our pets. Lori Letzring, Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center
Editor’s Note: The New Barker team was asked by Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC) for some ideas to help adopt out the longterm dogs at the shelter. We partnered with Project RAD Foundation and Brandon Honda to develop the cam- paign Test Drive A Shelter Dog. Each Thursday, for two months, a PRC volunteer brought a featured dog to Brandon Honda’s showroom for a meet and greet. Our goal was two-fold: bring a little cheer to people by introducing them to a shelter dog and PRC, and help increase adop- tions. 200 dogs over an eight- week period were adopted from the shelter as a result.

Mindy #GetEmHomeChallenge Sponsored by Apologies
Writing and producing The New Barker is an intense process, and definitely not for the faint of heart. We edit, proof, edit, and proof some more. Then, we proof again. Still, typos happen. And, while it bothers us each time we discover one after the magazine is printed, we vow to do better with the next issue. But, when you misspell someone’s name - well, that’s just unacceptable and beyond cringe-worthy. Apologies to Bill Weller for the misspelling of your last name in the feature Truffles, The Diamonds Of Gastronomy.

You were so gracious when we met for the photo shoot at Reeves Import Motorcars with Karma. The correct spelling of your name will be forever ingrained in our minds.
