The folks at CANIDAE Pet Food have embarked on a dif- ficult journey that will ultimately lead to them sourcing all of the ingredients on their own farm. And that’s a good thing. As we focus more on our diet and where our own food is coming from, it’s no surprise that we also want to know where the ingredients in our pets’ food are being sourced as well. Already the California-based company is growing much of its own vegetables for their cat and dog food on their Wichita, Kansas farm. Scott Whipple, co- founder of CANIDAE, said, “It’s a move in the right direction, for us. Our long-term goal is to use only ingre- dients we’re actively involved in growing,” said Whipple. No doubt, it’s an ambitious endeavor, but the company
