SENIORS GOLF
Furthermore, club matches were to be played over 18 holes starting at 1.00pm and teams to be made up of 12 persons only. In response to a request from the Juniors in 1987 the Seniors presented them
with a Juniors Open Cup for the best long Ashton nett score in this competition. In 1992 the Seniors Section has about 150 members, 23% of Club
membership. With the age of the population rising this figure will grow, and the needs of this portion of the membership should also be taken into account in planning for the future. For better or worse the Seniors by their long service made Long Ashton the Club it is today. With luck, you too may be a Senior one day.
