small “snug” room with a fireplace which was near the entrance to the present Snooker room. By the end of 1950 the membership had reached 300 and the Committee
considered the need to restrict numbers to this level. Lady members had increased from 25 to 40 but only 30 in order of seniority were given voting powers. So ended a 30 year period, which was a mixture of good and bad times for Long Ashton Golf Club.
