BROOKLANDS TALBOT TEAM DOMINATE AT LE MANS

Drivers await the Le Mans start (Gareth Tarr).
British marque scored a hat-trick of third places (and three class wins). At the 2018 Le Mans Classic the green cars totally dominated Plateau One with three races and three wins for the Brooklands Talbot team led by patron John Ruston. In front of a record 135,000 spectators, the opposition from the likes of BMW, Aston Martin, Bentley, Delahaye, Bugatti and Alfa Romeo melted away in the heat as the Brits disappeared into the distance. All the cars in the Brooklands team were Talbot 105s. Also running was a white 1930 Talbot 90, registration PL 2, entered by Lucas Slijpen of the Netherlands. traditional run across the track, although it has to be said this is more theatre than competitive as the cars then follow a pace car for the first lap. The cars were flagged away by motor sport legends Sebastien Loeb and Filipe Massa and at Talbot ‘JJ 93’ leads race one (Gareth Tarr).
