Access to BTMtv, Spinning Wheels and podcasts is via the BTM website. One of our members, Paul Hitchens, writes: ‘Thank you for the hard work and dedication

that you and the team have invested in BTMtv. The event day interviews are fun, informative and shed light on the visiting machines and you provide answers to the questions that few of us will have the chance to ask their owners. The new service on Vimeo adds great value to BTM membership and extends the spirit of Brooklands beyond the Museum gates. The videos showcase Brooklands in an informative and sociable light that places people at the heart of the narrative. You are building a great social history that presents the visitors and their vehicles in a relatable and meaningful light. The recordings of the BTM Motoring Legends

and Classic Talks are of particular value for those of us who are unable to attend all of these fascinating evenings and the ‘John Surtees in conversation with Simon Taylor’ programme is a jewel in the showreel.’ Our lunchtime reel-to-reel film shows continue

to gain popularity and interest. I am pleased to announce our next ‘Film Friday’ will take place on the lunchtime of Friday 19th October at

12.30pm. No need to book, just turn up and enjoy real racing! We have been pleased to see that the level of

service, choice and quality has improved since the last edition of the Bulletin, thanks to swift action by CreativEvents. The Members’ Bar continues to be busy and at

peak times we have to open up the Blue Bird room to accommodate the extra demand. A num- ber of you have asked if tables can be booked and the answer is, yes, on regular days but not on major event days. A number of members, especially those new at

Club level, have inquired about the protocol for ‘tipping’ the Members’ Bar staff. We can advise that it should be at the individual’s discre- tion if you wish to do so, we have no objections. Finally, whilst we are on the subject of the

Members’ Bar, may I remind you that should you wish to bring a party of more than seven members or non-members for lunch, please contact CreativEvents to let them know, so that they can accommodate and serve you and your guests in the best way. E-mail hospitality@brooklandsmu- seum.com or call 01932 857381, extension 251. Thank you.
