must congratulate Cork on their Munster Sen- ior Hurling Champi- onship win over Clare on Sunday 1st
July in
a packed Semple Sta- dium. We must give special mention to the East Cork players who were on the cork panel Seamus Harnedy - St Ita’s ( Capt ), Colm Spillane - Castlelyons, Bill Cooper - Youghal, Conor Lehane - Midle- ton, Conor O’Sullivan ,Jack O’Connor, Daniel Kearney - Sarsfields, Brian Lawton - Castle- martyr, Robbie O’Flynn - Erins Own. Well done lads
Whjile on the subject
of East Cork players we must say a big well done to East Cork who reached the Celtic Chal- lenge All Ireland Finals against Galway Mc- Donaghs on Sat last and who sadly lost out on the day. It was Great to see West Cork also reach their finals and they did win beating South Tipperary to become winners of their sec- tion. Well done to all the players who represented cork so well in this com- petition. Another big game this

Hurling Championship the Abernathy Cup we have had some great games so far with Agha- da winning 2-26 to St Catherines 1-21, which was played on the 6th June and Castlemar- tyr hitting 2-14 against Castlelyons 1-15 and on Sunday we had Youghal 0-23 vs Watergrasshill 1-26. and Tuesday 26 Jun 2018 we have Fr O’Neills facing Cloyne.
Sponosred Junior A Hurling Championship the Jamsey Kelleher Cup started last weekend on the Sat with Erins Own beating Killeagh 6-18 to 1-5, On the Sunday we had Fr. O’Neills vs Car- raig na bhFear at 2.30 followed by Bride Rov- ers vs Sarsfields at 4pm. Our other 2 games in the first round are Lis- goold vs Cobh fixed for Saturday 07 Jul 2018 while we await Russell Rovers who will face St Itas with that fixture de- pendant on Corks out- come this summer. The first game of our
Junior B Championship took place on Wed 27th with St Catherines los- ing out to Watergrasshill on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-16. Our next game is fixed for Friday with Castlelyons

Dungourney at 8pm venue TBC and on the Saturday we have Mid- leton v Killeagh at 7.30 On the Michael O’Connor Motor Fac- tors sponsored Junior A Football Championship for the Jim Ryan Cup we are heading into the Semi Finals with Midle- ton facing Carrigtwohill on Sat 14th

raig na bhFear taking on Fr O’Neills in the other Semi Final on the Sun- day 15th
