If you see Ruth Gentilman Peterson at the show, you can thank her for this beautiful show program. One of our hardest working volunteers, she does all the compiling, editing and makes it happen. You can often find her around the Student Art tent which was her idea as well or taking photos of everything that’s going on

WELCOME FROM KANE MAYOR BRANDY SCHIMP
Fight, Kane, Fight! Sound familiar? Many alumni will recognize it as one of our school’s rally cries. From the very beginning, it’s been a phrase used by fans of the Kane Wolves. Whether it’s been hollered from the top of the hill under the glow of the Friday night lights, shouted across the court in our red and blue adorned Wolves Den, or heard along Fraley Street as the band marches on, the words carry the same meaning. Fight Kane Fight. Keep trying, keep working, keep pushing forward.
And that is exactly what is happening here. Kane is continuing to push itself forward. New businesses are opening and the seasoned ones are expanding, older buildings and facades are being restored, sidewalks and roads are undergoing a betterment project, parks and memorials are seeing beautification work, cultural events are happening more and more, our school district and students are receiving state and national recognition, and the people of Kane are coming out to volunteer and work at making our town one of the best places to live and visit in Pennsylvania. Kane is fighting. And we are winning.
In all honesty, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. The people in Kane have shown per- severance over the years. We’ve faced struggles and tragedies like any other small town… major employers closing their doors, shifts in the economy, resources drying up. We’ve even seen the devastation Mother Nature can unleash with the Tornado of ‘85. But, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and we get back to work. That’s just who we are and what we do. And what would you expect? It takes commitment, strength, and resilience to live in the “Icebox of Pennsylvania!”
If you are in Kane as a visitor, Thank You! We welcome you and are excited to share our community with you. Please make yourself at home, enjoy your visit, and come back and see us again soon.
If you are alumni, Welcome Home! We hope you are as excited about our progress as we are. We encourage you to eat, play, stay… buy a second home here. Come back often and see how Kane keeps fighting the good fight and pushing itself forward. We hope the town that gave you your roots is making you proud to forever be a part of the Wolfpack.
I look forward to meeting new visitors and seeing old friends at Art in the Wilds at Evergreen Park and all about town Alumni Weekend. If you’re think- ing about starting or expanding a business or looking for a great place to raise your family, share your skills/ expertise, or to retire, let’s connect and see if we can make that happen.
Stay safe, enjoy your weekend with family and friends, and of course, Hail to Old Kane High!
