Sutton gets set for community games

The organisers of the Sutton Coldfield Community Games have confirmed the event is returning to the Royal Town this summer. The free weekend of sporting fun is set to take

place on 7 and 8 July at Wyndley Leisure Centre, where there will be more than 80 different sports and activities to try. It is thought the Sutton Games is now the largest community games event in the UK. Established in 2012, the event aims to provide

games and physical activities everyone – regardless of age, ability or interest – free of charge or obligation. There will also be appearances from world class professional athletes and music and entertainment from local artists. Founder Dennis Kennedy said: “This will be

the sixth Sutton Games and it’s amazing to think the weekend has not only become an annual fixture in our town, but has grown to become the most successful event of its type in the UK.”
