Backing for Design Festival

The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and Future Faces Chamber of Commerce are supporting the launch of the first Birmingham Design Festival. The festival will take place between 7 and 10

June, in a range of modern and historic venues across Birmingham. The four day event is a celebration of the design industry, and will include a variety of events, speakers, workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations. The festival will be spilt into three ‘Design

Districts’ (graphic, digital and product) which will showcase and celebrate the variety of local and national talent that the UK has to offer. Anna Assinder, Future Faces manager, said:

“Greater Birmingham is a creative powerhouse reflected recently in the city’s WM Generation campaign and it is fantastic to be part of a festival which is showcasing our design talent over four days. Daniel Alcorn, director at Birmingham Design

Festival, said: “The Chamber have been big supporters of arts events in the city over the past few years and we see them as a vital partner in helping connect with businesses

L-R: Daniel Alcorn and Luke Tonge, founders of Birmingham Design Festival

around the region, hopefully unlocking some much needed funding that will ensure the success of this year's festival and beyond. “Connecting with local business is a vital part

of our vision, as we aim to celebrate the region’s success in the industry as well bring world-class talent through the doors over four days in June.”
