A taste of style at The Cadeby

In the heart of charming Cadeby village there sits a striking gastro pub that stands out from the crowd with both style and substance.

At the Cadeby Pub and Restaurant, the casual yet refined atmosphere moves smoothly from room to room, with drinkers and diners entwined in comfortable, contemporary surroundings. A gastronomic hero, the food-led phenomenon at The Cadeby is a sophisticated menu that mixes hearty classics with a haute cuisine twist.

Sustainable and locally sourced, the menu uses fresh, seasonal produce to concoct moreish, high end dishes you’ll want to try over and over again. For sporadic dining, try one of their sharing platters, great to combine with a cold pint of the renowned Estrella Inedit, one of the Cadeby’s 60 premium gins or their 121 whiskies in the warmth of the bar lounge.

A Ploughman’s with a difference, the Cadeby board includes all your picnic favourites from hay smoked ham to camembert bon bons with pork pie, a venison and black pudding Scotch egg plus homemade chutney and bread. Stop off for lunch with one of their hearty sandwiches served on freshly baked bread, with fillings such as chicken, avocado and bacon jam or hot roasted smoked salmon with cucumber crème fraiche. Relax with a glass of wine in the light and airy checkboard Conservatory which overlooks the outdoor terrace.

With views over the pristine front lawn, while away an afternoon in the stunning Venetian room with the Cadeby’s afternoon tea.

The star of the show is the gourmet dining menu. Starters include venison carpaccio with blue

cheese sorbet, or monkfish scampi with saffron aioli. Classics like venison pie and ale battered cod sit alongside mains such as braised pork cheeks with ham hock bon bons or monkfish tail with chorizo crust.

Oozing with French style, the Epernay room really cuts the mustard with its striking seating, wine wall, mirrored ceiling and custom Lambretta scooter – great for special weekend dining with an upmarket feel.

It wouldn’t be Sunday without a proper roast, with the Cadeby’s offerings including lamb shoulder, seabass or mushroom tagliatelle. Gather the whole family together in the rustic Upper Barn, a spacious private dining area.

Or after a long day, sit and enjoy a cask ale or craft beer in the traditional Cadeby Tap; the epitome of a village pub with original and reclaimed features dating back to the pub’s 1751 beginnings. With Christmas on the horizon, make sure to make a date with family and friends to enjoy their festive specials, with everything from potted mackerel with cranberry jelly to pheasant with parkin and pickled blackberries.

For somewhere special to visit this winter, feel warmly welcomed at the Cadeby.
