Dairy teams up with top children’s charity

A local dairy farm has agreed a new partnership with fellow Chamber member, national children’s charity CHICKS. The announcement comes after

the launch of ‘Ice Cream Moments’, an initiative by the charity to give disadvantaged children the chance to experience holiday joy and create happy memories at their retreats in Cornwall, Devon, and Fenny Bentley, in Derbyshire. Renowned for its homemade ice

cream, Bluebell Dairy has won Great Taste Awards three years running. Bluebells’ Events Co-ordinator,

Ella Brown, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have chosen CHICKS to be our charity partner of the year. By doing so, we hope to raise awareness of this fantastic children’s charity and the work that they do in providing free respite breaks for children who live in poverty, or have been abused, bullied or bereaved.”

Employees of Mazars prepare for the charity challenge

Cycling event makes Sense for Mazars

Mazars, a leading international tax, accountancy and advisory firm, has started its first ‘Sense 1000’ challenge, a national cycling event in aid of the national disability charity Sense. Nearly 200 Mazars staff participated in the event, which passed all 15 of

Mazars offices in England and Scotland, in an effort to raise tens of thousands of pounds to support people with complex communication needs. The ambitious challenge was divided into 16 different legs, with cyclists

able to choose to undertake suitable stages throughout the event, including the option to attempt the entirety of the epic 1,000-mile journey. Ian Wrightson, Mazars Head of People and Culture, said: “Through both

Bluebells and CHICKS are working together to make a different to local disadvantaged children

our work with clients and our support of charitable causes across the country, we’re committed to making a positive difference to society. The Sense 1000 challenge is a fantastic example, and has brought teams from across the UK together to work towards a common goal.”
