Training firm recognised for innovative approach to HR

A leading offshore survival training firm has been shortlisted in the finals of this year’s cHeRries Awards in recognition of its innovative approach to HR.

Falck Safety Services (Falck), which has 32 training centres across the world, including three UK centres in Teesside, Aberdeen and Wellheads so is ideally placed to serve the East of England area, is a finalist in the Extraordinary HR Initiative category due to its strong commitment to its people following the introduction of a number of new HR initiatives.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY

Introduced over the last 12 months, Falck’s new employee engagement strategy is focused around delivering initiatives in the three key areas of wellbeing, career development and financial security. Under this new strategy, the safety services provider has enhanced its healthcare benefits, appraisal processes, training needs analysis and on-going employee communication to improve both organisational and individual development.

Managing Director of Falck Safety Services UK, Colin Leyden, said: “It is a great achievement for Falck to be shortlisted for an award that demonstrates the commitment we have to our people. Our employees are at the centre of everything we do and how we operate as a business and this truly reflects our company philosophy of ‘people helping people’.

GOING THAT EXTRA MILE “Although we previously had a number of employee benefits in place, we acknowledged that there was still room to do a lot more. The initiatives introduced over the past 12 months have had a noticeable and positive impact upon our employees, who I am confident feel greater engagement to the organisation as a result. I cannot commend Nick and Marian from our HR team enough for helping to put the new strategy in place.”

REPUTATION

Falck Safety Services has a strong reputation for delivering excellence in the UK and globally and embeds its six core company values - Accessible, Competent, Efficient, Fast, Helpful and Reliable - across its workforce worldwide.

The cHeRries award ceremony is due to take place at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday 4 June where the winners will be announced.
